School Tour - Whistler

An amazing place, Whistler. I could see the snow everywhere when I took Gondola to go up the mountain peak whereas the people in Taiwan were suffering from the heat.

I felt more lucky because I could come here with my very nice interesting cute Japanese schoolmates. I did enjoy in this kind of the most beautiful places near Vancouver.

But there was something let me feel crazy that I couldn't practice English because when we took a tour bus, sitting on the bus, the Japanese seated beside me, her English level was too low for me to practice with... That's too bad.

Other parts of this day, the weather, food, store, mountain, snow, friends, were perfect.

Event - Deep Cove

Today was Taiwanese's gathering. It's not my style to be here but whatever, just sometimes, and I liked here and the food in Osaka Sushi was delicious.

Going Crabbing

Go picnic in Cates Park, north Vancouver, taking a nap under a big tree, and going crabbing after lunch.

Thanks for my homefamily.

And we got 3 big crabs and 2 starfishes. It's so insteresting !

Event - Stepho's

It's the first time I got diarrhea after eating. Seriously, Stepho's Greek Restaurant is very famous restaurant in downtown. You will see the long line almost every day every time. Unfortunately, the most famous dish here is roast lamb. I hardly eat lamb because of the specific flavour, a little bit disgusting for my stomach. So I got protest against this food from my stomach.

Afterwards, the weather was so nice and we went to English Bay together and stayed for a long time, playing Frisbee, basketball. This was really a good time, good day.

The restaurant's name is Stepho's Souvlaki Greek Taverna, located on Davie Street, downtown.

Welcome to join and invite your friends. And tell me the number then I'll make a reservation on Thursday. The total people probably is 6 to 10.

Event - SalaThai

This was my first time to hold an event in Vancouver. I hoped that everybody invited to here could enjoy very much so I visited 3~4 Thai restaurants in downtown and chose this one, nice atmosphere, large place, good meals, friendly service, to be our first restaurant to hang out together.

It was absolutely good.

Btw, it's also the last time I have members less than 6 and then became more and more terrible and hard to talk and make a reservation....

I have an idea, we have Taiwanese, Japanese, Korean here, so we might eat "THAI" restruant to try different food.

I've found some thai restaurants near our school, but we still can change until May 18.

I will invite my 1 or 2 friends more, and I think Shiori and GukHwa can invite yours also, but I suggest that maximum 8 people is good to eat and talk.

Vancouver Island - Victoria

The transportation from Vancouver to Victoria is like this :

1.Take skytrain to Bridgeport Station. (Canada line)
2.Take #620 bus to Tsawwassen.
3.Take B.C. Ferries to Swartz Bay, Victoria. ($15.55, tax included)
4.Take bus to Victoria downtown


Frankly, it's a very long trip and I felt so tired to get there. When it was my turn to take Ferries, I've waited for 1.5 hours and I need another 1.5 hours to arrive in Victoria. The total time is around 4~6 hours depends on how long you will wait for your bus and Ferries which is full sometimes and then you have to wait for the next one.

I wanna ask myself can I stay in such a charming city, Victoria one more night ? I lived in Ocean Island Hostel for 1 night but I wanna stay longer...

The Butchart Garden.


I can't imagine that such a beautiful garden, Buchart Garden, was settled in early 20th.
And, today I saw classmates in front of the garden. I can't believe that we all live in the same hostel.
So happy to run into my schoolmates and get so many memorable pictures in Victoria.

A Week

The beauty of the Vancouver downtown. I wanna live here forever. And I need a sunglasses cus the sun shines are too strong in the day time.

Jericho Park

We ate BBQ on the beach and play football in the Jericho Park.

After the party was finished, I kept staying to photo Jericho Park, sunset of English Bay, night views of downtown.

I felt tranquil and peaceful when I enjoyed the wonderful night.

Stanley Park

I joined a school activity to come here. There were so many Brazilians here. We rode bikes together in Standley Park, seeing the famous totem poles....

The way to ride is dangerous cus a lot of people were walking, jogging, skating on the same way in the same time.

Our time was not enough and so I think I'd come again to see sunset of English Bay and the night views of north Vancouver. ^^

GasTown

GasTown and Steaming Clock

It's the first Friday since I've come and so happy to be here with new friends. And it will be wonderful if there is a coffee shop to stay and take a rest. But it's so crowded everywhere, especially Starbucks.

I think GasTown is a nice place to buy souvenir and go shopping.

I came here with 2 friends, 1 Japanese and 1 Korean. They are my most familiar friends here.

3 Days

What a dream city, Vancouver. It's an unbelievable feeling to study and have a new life here. I fell in love with this city in just 3 days since I came here.

2012 Vancouver Marathon

Queen Elizabath Park.

I came here not for running but took photos. Marathon is my favorite sport but I knew this activity too late, just before I came to this city. So I couldn't be a runner or a volunteer.


I have a dream. I wish that one day I will come back and join Vancouver Marathon.
